Kiicha (shelter program)
Our Kiicha is a multiagency facility. Kiicha provides a safe home for Native victims and their children who are affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and sex-trafficking within California. We have three locations within San Diego and San Bernardino Counties.
Legal Assistance
The Legal Assistance for Victims is a partnership program between California Indian Legal Services and Strong Hearted Native Women
Legal Assistance for Victims services may include:
- A safety plan,
- Crisis intervention assistance,
- Strong relationship with San Diego DA’s office. Criminal Case help.
- Court Accompaniment
- A danger assessment, or assistance in obtaining restraining orders.
- Direct Representation
- Protection Orders
- Legal Advocacy
- Divorce/ Separation
- Child Custody
- Child/spousal support
- Employment Issues
Legal issues related to the crimes of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, or sex-trafficking.
